May 20, 2026 — Siglent Technologies introduces the new-generation SDG8000A Series high-performance arbitrary waveform generators (AWG). The series provides up to four analog output channels, with output bandwidth up to 5 GHz and vector modulation bandwidth up to 2 GHz. Each channel supports up to 4 GSa waveform memory, enabling long-duration waveform generation at high sample rates.
The SDG8000A series also supports high-speed serial pattern output and advanced multi-level waveform sequencing, including double pulse, multi-tone, frequency hopping, and linear frequency modulation capabilities. These features address a wide range of signal generation requirements in wireless communications, industrial electronics, semiconductor validation, and scientific research applications.

High-Speed and High-Fidelity Signal Generation
The SDG8000A series is available in both 2-channel and 4-channel configurations and features 16-bit vertical resolution for high signal fidelity. With output bandwidth up to 5 GHz and a maximum sample rate of 12 GSa/s, the series enables accurate generation of wideband and high-speed signals.
In addition, the SDG8000A incorporates TrueArb technology with point-by-point waveform generation, preserving waveform fidelity across a wide range of sample rates while minimizing intrinsic jitter.

The SDG8000A supports pulse generation with minimum pulse widths down to 250 ps, addressing the requirements of high-speed pulse characterization in semiconductor and automotive electronics applications. Equipped with EasyPulse technology, the instrument provides low-jitter square wave and pulse signal generation, while supporting fine adjustment of pulse width and rise/fall times for high-speed digital and precision pulse applications.

Advanced Arbitrary Waveform Capabilities
The SDG8000A series provides up to 4 GSa waveform memory per channel, supporting long-duration waveform generation for complex test scenarios.

The series also supports advanced waveform sequencing functions, including Segment, Sequence, and Scenario modes, enabling flexible generation of complex signal patterns. In addition, it includes 196 built-in arbitrary waveforms covering mathematics, engineering, medical electronics, and modulation applications. Users can directly load or customize waveform files to accelerate test development and validation workflows.

Modulation and Vector Signal Generation
The SDG8000A supports a wide range of analog and digital modulation modes, including AM, DSB-AM, FM, PM, FSK, ASK, PSK, and PWM. The instrument supports vector signal generation with modulation bandwidth up to 2 GHz. When generating baseband signals with an external RF modulator, signal bandwidth can be extended up to 4 GHz to support wideband wireless communication and RF test applications.
When used together with EasyIQ waveform editing software, the SDG8000A supports I/Q waveform generation for modulation formats including 2ASK, 4ASK, 8ASK, BPSK, QPSK, 8PSK, DBPSK, DQPSK, D8PSK, 8QAM, 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, 128QAM, 256QAM, 2FSK, 4FSK, 8FSK, 16FSK, MSK, and MultiTone.

The SDG8000A can also be combined with SigIQPro software for simplified generation of common wireless communication waveforms, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and LTE signals, streamlining waveform creation for wireless communication testing applications. In addition, the SDG8000A supports high-speed serial pattern output, including 1.25 Gbps PRBS pattern generation for high-speed serial bus testing applications.

Advanced Signal Simulation
In addition to standard waveform generation, the SDG8000A supports complex signal simulation capabilities, including noise signals, multi-pulse signals, multi-tone signals, frequency hopping signals, and linear frequency modulation waveforms.
Its combination of wide bandwidth, high resolution, and flexible signal generation capabilities enables engineers to reproduce highly realistic signal environments during product design and verification, helping improve system reliability and interference tolerance.
